Learning Support Assistant (1:1) - Prep School, SW12

We are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a Year 5 boy at a friendly and nurturing prep school in SW12 .

This role involves providing individual support throughout the school day, helping the pupil to access the curriculum, remain engaged in lessons and achieve his full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil.
• Adapt and differentiate classwork to meet the child's individual learning needs.
• Support engagement, organisation and participation within the classroom.
• Work closely with teaching staff and the SEN team to implement support strategies.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to relevant staff.

Requirements:

• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within an educational setting.
• Understanding of additional learning needs and the ability to adapt learning materials.
• Patient, proactive and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 10:00am - 1:00pm
• Due to the child's needs, there is potential for the role and hours to increase over time.
