Print and Pattern Textile Designer (12mth FTC)

Overview: At Mamas & Papas we are passionate about creating a distinctive, illustrative handwriting through emotive & storytelling prints, designed in harmony for our beautifully innovative products. Through some exciting news... we're now looking to recruit for a PRINT & PATTERN DESIGNER on a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover) specialising in textiles to join our innovative Mamas & Papas Softs Goods Design team. This Designer role, to develop unique in-house prints & graphics, specifically for textiles & the complexities of textiles, whilst remaining true to our Mamas & Papas DNA and handwriting with our recognised attention to detail & premium quality. As a Print and Pattern Designer within Mamas & Papas you will be a highly creative individual, with an immense passion for creating emotive graphics, interesting design repeats, artworks & illustrations that can be used across clothing, nursery interiors & other textiled equipment. Reporting into the Head of Soft Goods, you will play a key role in defining the textile print handwriting for the Mamas and Papas brand around the world. Including researching trends, pulling new season prints together, print to textile workings, creating specification packs and working with buyers & suppliers to produce products that truly fit our customers lifestyle. For those in the know, this is a rare opportunity. You don’t have to come from nursery textiles, nor baby clothing print & pattern, but a passion for our category is key and that proven experience & ability in producing premium, defining, print & pattern on textile design is key.
