Pastoral Support Officer - Wonderful Secondary School in...
A wonderful and supportive secondary school in Swindon is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to join its pastoral team with an ASAP start.
The school places a strong emphasis on student wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement, and this role will play an important part in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the pastoral team, senior leaders, and teaching staff to provide targeted support for students across the school.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting students with behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement
Working with pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis
Monitoring attendance and behaviour and supporting improvement strategies
Assisting with pastoral interventions and safeguarding processes
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
Supporting the school’s behaviour policies and restorative approaches
This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people succeed both academically and personally.

Experience working with young people in a school, pastoral, or youth support setting
Strong understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding
