Job Title: Locum Social Services Occupational Therapist

What you will do: - Complete comprehensive functional assessments in line with the Care Act.
- Take part in duty triaging and screening/signposting incoming referrals before accepting them to the waiting list.
- Design and recommend major adaptations such as level-access showers, stairlifts, and ramps to support independence and reduce risks.
- Prescribe and arrange both minor and major equipment to suit individual needs.
- Undertake manual handling risk assessments and create safe moving and handling plans.
- Liaise with contractors, housing teams, and grants officers to coordinate adaptation works.
- Maintain accurate records and produce professional reports for funding applications and safeguarding processes. Requirements of the Occupational Therapist: - Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
- Recent NHS experience.
