Plumbing and Heating Engineer (Somerset Region)

• Salary: £43,201 plus benefits and additional allowances.  

• Field-based with regular travel across Somerset.

• Hours:  39 hours per week.

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Gas Safe registered Plumbing and Heating Engineer with experience to join the Magna team.   From the initial job report to its completion, you will play a key part in delivering works to a high standard, whilst meeting our customers’ needs and complying with current legislation. The role encompasses a diverse and rewarding working routine with great benefits, a company van, uniform and all trade relevant power tools supplied.

• The purpose of this role is to carry out central heating works including installation and servicing, to diagnose faults and resolve heating / plumbing related problems to a high standard.   

• You will be required to be on call once every 6 weeks, for which you will receive a generous standby allowance.

What you need to be successful:

• Together with a high level of fault-finding ability & diagnostic skills, you will feel comfortable working independently or as part of a team, committed to overcoming any scenarios that may arise on a daily basis.     

• Ideally experience of Social Housing or working in a similar environment would be advantageous, although alternative sectors will be considered.     

• Understanding how to use a mobile iPad device together with a geographical knowledge of the Dorset & South Somerset area would be preferential.     

• This post is subject to a basic level Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. A full driving licence is essential.
