We have positions available for a Driver to join the team at Cramlington hospital working Friday and Saturday night shift.
• Driving, cleaning, refuelling and maintaining l vehicles
• Delivery of goods collection of , Mail, Pharmacy, specimens, Stores and equipment as required.. Previous similar experience would be beneficial, although is not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate. Uniform will be provided. Please note that NHFML is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary and not the NHS. Please note the terms and conditions are closely aligned to that of the NHS. NHFM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Established in 2012, NHFM provide specialist project management services for large and small capital developments, estates maintenance and a full range of facilities services. Carrying out facilities management for a state-of-the-art specialist emergency care hospital - The Northumbria, three general hospitals - North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham hospitals - and a number of smaller community hospitals and clinic sites, we cover one of the largest geographical areas of any NHS trust in the country. Collection and delivery of mail and specimens to and from the main hospital sites to other locations within the trust. To deliver pharmacy, pathology and NHS supplies as required. To collect and deliver surgical instruments from GP Practices to main sites for cleaning. Attend training courses as required in line with trust policies and procedures. Ensure vehicle is maintained in accordance with trust policies and is kept clean. Collect and deliver dirty/clean linen from locations across the trust. Collect clinical waste and dispose of in accordance with guidelines. Collect household refuse and confidential waste and dispose of in the correct manner. Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed and signatures obtained for items delivered and received as appropriate. Training new drivers as necessary. Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Management. This advert closes on Tuesday 9 Jun 2026
