SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Secondary School (Loughborough Area)

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to SEN students within a mainstream secondary classroom, helping them to access the curriculum effectively.
* Assist teachers in implementing tailored learning plans, focusing on individual needs and goals for SEN students.
* Support students with their physical, emotional, and social development , ensuring they feel included and supported within the wider school community.
* Encourage positive behavior and independence , collaborating closely with the classroom teacher and SENCO to maintain a productive learning environment.
* Monitor and track student progress , providing feedback to teachers, SENCO, and parents. Key Requirements: * Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Support Worker in a secondary school or similar environment.
* A caring and patient approach with strong communication skills .
* Ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Understanding of various SEN conditions , including Autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities.
* Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning , are desirable but not essential. Why Join GSL Education? * Competitive daily rates.
