An outstanding 11–18 academy in the North East is seeking a passionate Religious Education Teacher to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. The Department and Facilities
The Humanities faculty is one of the school’s academic strengths, and Religious Education plays a central role in shaping students’ understanding of ethics, philosophy and global faith. Lessons are designed to promote respectful discussion, analytical thinking and personal reflection, encouraging students to explore their own beliefs and values while understanding others’.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll also:
- Prepare and support GCSE and A-Level students through challenging, engaging content
- Contribute to departmental planning and resource development
- Lead or support enrichment activities such as conferences, themed assemblies and trips
- Take an active role in pastoral life, modelling the school’s values and inclusive ethos
About You
You’ll bring:
- QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification
- A strong academic background in Religious Studies, Philosophy or a related field
- A passion for debate, ethics and exploring worldviews
- A reflective, supportive and professional approach to teaching
- The ability to inspire curiosity, empathy and respect in your students
