RE Teacher (ECT) - Derby - January 2026
A thriving, values-led 11–16 secondary school in Derby is seeking an RE ECT to join its Humanities faculty.
The Role
You’ll teach RE across KS3–KS4, exploring ethics, philosophy, religion and worldviews through well-sequenced enquiry units. The department prioritises respectful debate, critical thinking and inclusive teaching.
ECT Support Includes:
- Weekly mentor coaching
- Additional PPA and protected planning time
- Joint marking and moderation sessions
- Opportunities to observe high-performing RE departments in the local trust
- A strong pastoral team that supports consistency in behaviour
