Biology Teacher – Drive Academic Research and Investigative Biology in a Prestigious Independent School – Kensington (Independent)
A prestigious , academic senior day school in Kensington is seeking an ambitious Biology Teacher committed to academic research and investigative science from January 2026.
- Biology Specialist required from January 2026
- Kensington-based independent school with a strong focus on academic research and high-level KS5 teaching.
- Ideal for a scientist committed to rigorous investigative practical work and EPQ mentoring.
The role involves teaching Biology across KS3–KS5(A-Level/IB), making full use of the specialist laboratories for challenging investigative practical tasks. You will be expected to run academic extension clubs, mentor students through EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) focused on biological research, and contribute to the school's rigorous academic ethos.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification) and a degree in Biology or a related life science (Masters desirable).
- Proven ability to teach and achieve top results at A-Level Biology .
- Experience in mentoring student research projects or EPQ.
- Commitment to maintaining a stimulating and rigorous classroom environment.
