Refurb Supervisor, Burton on Trent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 2:30pm 

Salary: Up to £53,000 per annum

Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit an Refurb Supervisor to join a business in Burton on Trent on a permanent basis.

We’re recruiting for an experienced Refurbishment Supervisor to lead a busy workshop team within a manufacturing and engineering environment. This hands-on leadership role will see you managing refurbishment operations, driving quality and productivity, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives whilst developing and motivating a high-performing team.

We’d be particularly interested in speaking with candidates currently working as a Refurbishment Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor, Engineering Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Service Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering Team Leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Refurb Supervisor:

• Lead, supervise and motivate the refurbishment team to achieve production, quality and safety targets.
• Manage day-to-day workshop activities, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Assess equipment condition, identify faults and determine refurbishment requirements.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and support to develop team capability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and health & safety procedures.
• Monitor productivity, quality, waste and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Liaise with the Technical Manager and other departments to support operational objectives.
• Act as a key holder and promptly address operational, technical, and employee welfare issues.

Experience and Skills required for this Refurb Supervisor position:

• Proven experience leading, motivating and developing teams within a manufacturing, engineering, technical service or industrial environment.
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor and drive high performance through positive leadership.
• Experience managing workloads, priorities and resources to achieve quality, productivity and safety targets.
• Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and departments.
• Experience within the power generation, electrical equipment, switchgear, load bank, transformer, industrial maintenance, test equipment or related engineering sectors would be highly desirable, but is not essential.
• Self-motivated, organised and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
