The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (HGV1) Drivers for our client based in Felling.
This is a great opportunity for professional drivers looking for ongoing work involving trunking between Felling and Yorkshire , with a straightforward route and a small number of collections before returning to the depot.
The role involves driving a curtain-sided vehicle , completing a couple of collections in Yorkshire before returning to Felling.
The Role
- Driving a Class 1 (Category C+E) curtain-sided vehicle
- Travelling from Felling to Yorkshire
- Completing a couple of collections in the Yorkshire area
- Returning back to the Felling depot after completing the collections
- Ensuring goods are safely loaded and secured throughout the journey
- Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
- Completing delivery and collection paperwork accurately
- Communicating effectively with the transport team
- Working to planned routes and schedules
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Have a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Have previous professional Class 1 driving experience
- Be comfortable driving longer-distance routes
- Have experience with curtain-sided vehicles (preferred)
- Be reliable, professional and safety-conscious
- Have good communication skills
- Be flexible and able to work independently

- Start and finish times will vary depending on the route and collection schedule
- Ongoing work available
Pay
- £15.00 per hour
- Minimum of 8 hours per shift
