A global financial services organisation is growing a senior Java engineering team to support a strategic, business-critical technology platform. This is a hands-on, senior level role suited to experienced engineers who enjoy working on complex systems while helping shape technical direction and engineering standards. This is an opportunity to join a delivery-focused team operating at a high level within a global enterprise.
The Role
You will be operating at a senior / VP level, contributing hands-on to the development of a strategic enterprise platform. The position involves supporting the ongoing evolution of a long-term, globally used system while collaborating with other senior engineers to drive platform quality and stability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing hands-on to the development of a strategic enterprise platform
- Helping shape technical standards, design approaches, and best practices
- Collaborating with other senior engineers to drive platform quality and stability
- Supporting the ongoing evolution of a long-term, globally used system
- Working closely with business-facing stakeholders to ensure delivery excellence
Requirements
- Strong Java backend development experience (modern Java versions)
- Proven background building high-quality, scalable applications in complex environments
- Experience working closely with business-facing stakeholders
- Comfortable operating at senior / VP level in a delivery-focused team
- Deep understanding of engineering standards and design patterns
