The Home

Located in Newtownabbey, Ben Madigan is a modern, purpose-built nursing home providing high-quality care in a welcoming environment. Our home offers 70 spacious single bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities, spread across two thoughtfully designed floors.

On the ground floor, the Hillview Unit supports 33 residents with General Nursing needs. Upstairs, the Bellview and Coastview Units provide specialist care for up to 37 older adults living with dementia.

The Role

This role is a temporary maternity cover for 44 hours per week. The role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality and person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents.

About The Role

Main Responsibilities

• Delivering person centred care to each resident
• Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans
• To offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits
• Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care
• Complying with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
• Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager

This role is a temporary role to cover Maternity leave., 9-12 months cover, 44 hours per week.

We cannot offer sponsorship for this role, as it is only a temporary role.

Required Criteria

• Valid UK NMC pin
• Minimum of 6 months nursing experience
• The Right to Work in the UK
• The ability to work independently and supervise a team
• Have a good standard of written and oral English

Desired Criteria

• A minimum of 6 months nursing experience
• Experience gained in a care home setting
