Consultant Psychiatrist - Adult Inpatient Services
Full Time 10PAs The Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist for Rose Ward following the current post holder moving to an alternative post within the organisation. This is an established post at Springfield Hospital, in Tooting, London SW17 _._ This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and dynamic consultant psychiatrist to join this friendly ward team. Rose Ward was originally situated in Queen Mary's Hospital Roehampton, but moved to Springfield in June 2023, as part of the Trust's estates modernisation plan, which has resulted in all of the adult acute inpatient wards being only on 2 hospital sites instead of 3. Both sites, at Springfield and Tolworth Hospitals, are undergoing extensive new building and refurbishment works. Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide medical leadership to Rose Ward. The Consultant will work closely with the Ward Manager to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service that meets the Trust's Key Performance Indicators. While individual clinicians within the team have responsibility for the clinical care they deliver, the consultant shares with the ward manager and other team members responsibility for ensuring the care delivered by the team is safe and of a good standard. This includes participating in systems of audit and clinical governance, working to resolve problems ontheir own initiative, and where necessary drawing any concerns they have been unable to resolve themselves to the attention of the ward manager and others.
