Health and Safety Advisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

● Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.

● Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

● Provide health and safety training to employees, ensuring they are aware of and understand safety protocols.

● Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

● Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.

● Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.

● Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.

● Identify opportunities for improving health and safety practices and implement best practices across the organization.

● Work closely with management, employees, and external agencies to promote a culture of safety.

Qualifications

● Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role in the industrial or construction sectors.

● In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments.

● Relevant qualifications in health and safety, such as NEBOSH or IOSH certification.

● Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
