Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Peripatetic Support Worker, providing flexible support across services in Caerphilly where it’s needed most.

• 30 hours per week, permanent position, Includes additional sleep in shifts
• Full flexibility is required to work a range of shift patterns, including: o Days and evenings o Sleep in shifts o Weekends and bank holidays
• Sleep in shifts are paid at a set rate and cover a 9 hour period between 10:30pm and 7:30am, in addition to your contracted hours Due to the specific needs of the individuals we support [and current legal guidance], this role is only open to applicants who are biologically female. A full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role, as driving mobility vehicles is a key requirement to support those in our care. About The Role

Join us in providing person-centred support that truly makes a difference! You’ll help people with physical and mental health needs in their homes and communities, supporting daily routines like meal preparation, medication, and household tasks, while also helping them enjoy activities they love, whether it’s choir, arts & crafts, or pedal-powered adventures. You’ll encourage independence, nurture friendships, and support people to explore volunteer opportunities and new experiences.

Duties Could Include

• Providing personalised support tailored to individual needs.
• Offering emotional support and positive encouragement.
• Completing light household tasks and basic administrative duties.
• Bringing fresh ideas and helping to improve ways of working.
• Checking and digitally recording medication stocks and personal finances in line with policy.

Skills And Experience Needed

A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.

Pay and Pensions

• £25,877 FTE (£13.45 per hour)
• Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift - approx. 1 per week.
• Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
• Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
• Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
