Staff Grade Occupational Therapist – Bantry Hospital

Location: Bantry, Co. Cork
Contract: Temporary – Maternity Leave Cover, until January 2027
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

TTM Healthcare Solutions are currently recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist for a temporary maternity leave cover position at Bantry Hospital, Co. Cork .

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join a supportive hospital team and gain valuable experience within an acute hospital setting.

The successful candidate will primarily provide Occupational Therapy services to the General Medical Ward , working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patients with their rehabilitation, functional independence and safe discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to patients on the General Medical Ward.
• Assess patients’ functional abilities and identify appropriate rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
• Support patients in achieving maximum independence in daily activities.
• Contribute to safe and effective discharge planning.
• Liaise with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Complete appropriate clinical documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient-centred care.
• Work in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies and relevant legislation.

Requirements

• A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• CORU registration mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organisational and clinical skills.
• Newly qualified Occupational Therapists are welcome to apply.
