About the Role

As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will transform complex mathematical theory into clear, engaging, and accessible learning experiences. You will deliver a rigorous curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Maths), with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level Mathematics / Further Maths) depending on your experience and preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute high-impact, interactive Mathematics lessons that build conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, and exam confidence.

• Prepare pupils thoroughly for national GCSE and A-Level examinations, using data-driven strategies to monitor progress and boost attainment.

• Integrate problem-solving frameworks, real-world quantitative applications, and digital math tools into daily teaching.

• Assess, track, and evaluate student progress, offering targeted feedback that stretches high attainers while supporting developing learners.

• Contribute to departmental enrichment, including UKMT Maths Challenges, university masterclasses, and after-school numeracy clubs.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential.

• A strong academic background with a degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.

• Proven track record or demonstrated capability of delivering outstanding Mathematics teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable).

• Thorough knowledge of the national curriculum and exam board specifications (e.g., Edexcel, AQA, OCR).

• Outstanding classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping all students succeed in mathematics.
