Assembly Operatives needed – Clevedon
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset, BS21
Transport: Own transport required
Pay: Weekly or monthly Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, accrued pro rata Shift Options:
Condensed – Contract (34.5 Hrs)
Fri–Sun: 12:30–00:30 £32.24/hr
Contract: ASAP–20th December
Holiday: Accrued and paid at the end of the contract AM – Ongoing (37.5 Hrs)
Mon–Thu: 06:00–14:15 | Fri: 06:00–11:30
£16.48/hr | Temporary ongoing £250 gift card after 4-month probation | £500 after 12 months

Mon–Wed: 14:30–00:30 | Thu: 14:30–00:00 | Fri: Non-working

We are currently recruiting Mechanical Assembly Operatives to join Edwards Vacuum in Clevedon. The company produces specialist vacuum and exhaust management systems used within the semiconductor industry. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with practical mechanical or engineering experience. Duties include:
• Mechanical assembly of frames, brackets and components
• Building sub-assemblies using tools and equipment
• Installing pipework and mechanical components
• Fitting heaters and insulation to pipe runs
• Following basic engineering drawings and work instructions
• Supporting general production and assembly tasks
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area What We’re Looking For
• Previous assembly, manufacturing or engineering experience.
• Experience using hand tools and working with mechanical parts.
• Ability to follow instructions and basic engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Mechanic, CNC Operator, Fabricator, Production Operative or similar would be beneficial.
