Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist school in Watford, Hertfordshire , seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from September. The school supports children and young people aged 5-19 years , with this role focused on teaching within the Primary and Secondary phases. Pupils have a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC/ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex learning needs . The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will: * Teach pupils within the Primary or Secondary phase, depending on your experience. * Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs. * Support pupils with Autism (ASC/ASD), SEMH and complex additional needs. * Create a structured, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and senior leaders. * Use positive behaviour management strategies to support engagement and emotional wellbeing. * Monitor pupil progress and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small. * Build positive relationships with pupils, families and external professionals. We're looking for someone who: * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) . * Has experience teaching pupils with SEND, particularly Autism (ASC/ASD), SEMH or complex needs. * Is passionate about inclusive education. * Can adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs. * Is patient, resilient, creative and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every pupil. * Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
