1:1 SEN Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting caring, patient, and dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistants to work within mainstream primary schools, providing tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated support to an individual pupil throughout the school day
• Assist with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement support strategies
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive engagement in learning
• Build a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to school staff

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEN setting
• Are patient, resilient, and nurturing
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Can remain calm and positive when faced with challenges
• Are able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Have experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, or other additional needs (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
