Are you an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys being out on the road, developing customer relationships and winning new business?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Representative to join a well-established business operating within the specialist manufacturing and building products sector. This is a varied role combining account management and new business development , with responsibility for growing sales across the North of England and Midlands .

The role would suit someone who enjoys working autonomously, building strong commercial relationships and identifying opportunities to increase sales with both existing and new customers.

The Role As an Area Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and developing an existing portfolio of customers

• Identifying and winning new business opportunities

• Developing long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers

• Growing sales of a range of specialist products across your territory

• Regular customer visits and face-to-face meetings

• Identifying customer requirements and providing appropriate product solutions

• Preparing quotations and working closely with internal teams to progress opportunities

• Monitoring your sales pipeline and following up new and existing opportunities

• Achieving agreed sales targets and contributing to the continued growth of the business

• Working closely with a dedicated Branch Estimator and Sales Director for support

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded sales professional with experience in B2B / external sales .

Experience within the glass, construction, manufacturing, building products or an allied industry would be advantageous, although applications will also be considered from strong sales professionals with transferable experience.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in external / field-based B2B sales

• A proven ability to develop existing accounts and generate new business

• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills

• A confident and professional approach with customers

• Commercial awareness and a target-driven mindset

• The ability to manage your own diary and territory effectively

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A full UK driving licence

This could also be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator or internal sales professional looking to progress into an external sales role .

What's on Offer?

• £35,000 – £37,000 basic salary , dependent on experience

• Salary increasing to £38,000 – £39,000 following successful completion of probation

• Annual performance-related bonus dependent on achievement against target

• Full-time permanent position

• Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm , with a one-hour lunch

• This is predomiantly a field based role with one day in the office and one day WFH

The role offers flexibility when you are not visiting customers, with the team typically working from their local office at the start of the week and from home towards the end of the week.
