the role attracts 0.5 PA per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated clinician to take on the role of SSCU Clinical Lead within the Surgical Special Care Unit (SSCU). Working closely with the Clinical Director, ITU Lead and Senior Management Team, the post holder will provide senior clinical leadership to support the safe, effective and timely delivery of patient care within the unit. The role will be pivotal in shaping and delivering the SSCU clinical strategy, overseeing the daily prioritisation of clinical activity, supporting service development and improvement, and ensuring robust clinical governance arrangements are in place. The SSCU Clinical Lead will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues across surgery, critical care and management, contribute to the education and development of SSCU nursing staff, and play a key role in informing the future direction and growth of the service to meet the evolving needs of patients and the organisation.
