Dupe VFX is Hiring - CG Generalist (3D Department)

About the Role
Dupe VFX is looking for a CG Generalist to join our talented London-based team. You’ll be responsible for creating photo-real digital assets and environments for high-end film and episodic projects, working across multiple areas of 3D — from modeling, texturing, and shading to lighting, rendering, and scene assembly .
You’ll collaborate closely with our VFX and CG Supervisors to deliver visually stunning results, ensuring all assets meet the highest creative and technical standards.
Responsibilities
Build and assemble models, textures, projections, and lighting in Houdini Solaris USD.
Develop lookdev and shading setups for CG elements.
Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize renders.
Ensure visual consistency and realism across shots and sequences.
Collaborate with production and other departments to meet deadlines.
Match CG work seamlessly with live-action plates and reference material.
Requirements
Proven experience in feature film or high-end episodic VFX .
Proficient with Houdini, Maya, Blender, Mari, Substance Painter, Arnold, and Nuke .
Strong understanding of modeling, UVs, texturing, lighting, and rendering .
Solid knowledge of 3D and 2.5D workflows .
Strong aesthetic sense and eye for photo-realism and composition .
Experience working with HDRIs, photogrammetry, and Lidar .
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Bonus Skills
⭐ Experience with volumetric rendering (clouds, atmosphere)
⭐ Familiarity with Linux
⭐ Basic scripting in Python, MEL, or VEX
⭐ Understanding of photo-based 3D reconstruction
