Multi- Trade Operative

We are working closely with Southern Housing to assist with the appointment of a Multi-Trade Operative ,on a 3- months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay : £17.72- £23.22 per hour

Summary:

The Multi-Trade Operative will be responsible for delivering high-quality responsive repairs, maintenance and property improvement works across the Council's housing and property portfolio. The role will primarily specialise in plumbing, with the flexibility to undertake a range of associated multi-trade maintenance tasks where required.

Responsibilities :

• Carry out responsive repairs, planned maintenance and property maintenance works, with a primary focus on plumbing.
• Undertake a range of associated multi-trade tasks within the limits of competence and relevant qualifications.
• Identify additional defects or maintenance requirements and report these through the appropriate procedures
• Communicate clearly with residents regarding the nature of repairs, work required and expected completion times.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building, plumbing, housing, health and safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in additional trades, such as Carpentry, would be advantageous.
• Relevant asbestos awareness and working-at-height training would be advantageous.

Essentials:

• Proven experience working as a Plumber, Multi-Trade Operative or similar property maintenance professional.
• Practical experience of diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults.
• Experience of completing repairs efficiently and achieving a high first-time-fix rate.

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires Standard DBS
