IBA Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IBA Technician to become a vital part an expanding team within a Lloyd’s insurance broker. This role offers an exciting opportunity handling complex accounts with precision and professionalism. What You’ll Do:

• Conduct monthly reviews of Aged Debt reports, actively chasing for due items, and settling balances.
• Reconcile client and underwriter statements accurately.
• Manage daily cash allocations and monitor cash flows, held balances, and funding activities.
• Prepare comprehensive statements and liaise effectively with clients, underwriters, and business units to resolve queries promptly.
• Support credit control meetings with detailed reports and maintain tracking systems for operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory standards, escalating issues when necessary.
• Provide coverage for team members and undertake ad hoc duties as required.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of the insurance market, particularly in handling complex accounts such as Marine, Aviation, or Specie.
• Familiarity with Brokasure Enterprise / Enterprise Risk.
• Solid understanding of FCA client money rules and legal principles applicable to insurance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
