Children's Residential Home Manager
Location: New Milton, Hampshire
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE
Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week
Service: 2 x 2-Bed EBD Children's Homes About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee the operation of two 2-bed EBD children's homes , located approximately one mile apart in the New Milton area. This opportunity would suit either an established Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager looking to step up , provided they already hold their Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare . The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of both homes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and full compliance with all relevant legislation and Ofsted requirements. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of both children's homes
* Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015)
* Promote positive outcomes and high standards of emotional and physical care for young people
* Develop and maintain effective care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices
* Build positive relationships with young people, families, professionals, and external agencies
* Provide strong leadership, motivation, and development to the staff teams
* Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and performance management
* Lead recruitment and ensure robust safer recruitment practices are followed
* Oversee staff training and development to ensure high-quality practice
* Monitor incidents, identify lessons learned, and implement service improvements
* Manage budgets, resources, and ensure the homes remain safe and well maintained
* Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support when required
* Ensure policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards are fully implemented Requirements * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (Essential)
* Previous experience within children's residential care
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
* Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve positive outcomes
