Assistant Financial Accountant 

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our dynamic European Finance Centre (EFC) . This role provides a strong platform for personal and professional growth, with clear development pathways and full study support for your accounting qualifications.

Reporting to the Financial Controller , you will take ownership of the financial activities for our EMEA entities , while also working closely with the wider Controllership team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is eager to build a strong career in finance.

What You’ll Do:

As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting the month-end close process
• Preparing and processing journal entries
• Ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls
• Contributing to one of our specialist technical streams:
• GRNI, Fixed Assets, VAT, and Leases
• Supporting the team with ad-hoc finance activities and continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Need:

We’re seeking someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to grow. The ideal candidate will have:

• Fluency in Eurpoean language(s) (required)
• A desire to start or continue a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA) full study support provided
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast‑moving environment
• Confidence to work independently while also collaborating effectively within the Controllership team
• A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for finance
• Experience using SAP (preferred, but not essential)

Where You'll Work:

This is a hybrid role located in Bradford. Candidates will be required to be on site 3 days a week (Probation period will be 5 days a week).
