Hours: 37.5 hours per week (long days, nights and weekends)
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience plus exceptional benefits and career development opportunities

Every cancer journey is unique. Behind every treatment, every breakthrough and every moment of reassurance is a nurse whose expertise and compassion help patients navigate some of the most challenging times in their lives.

At The Wellington Hospital, you'll join a team that combines outstanding clinical expertise with genuinely personalised cancer care. Caring for patients across a wide range of oncology and haematology specialities, you'll lead a highly skilled nursing team while delivering exceptional standards of care for patients receiving complex cancer treatments.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sister, Charge Nurse or ambitious Senior Staff Nurse looking to take the next step into a leadership role. You'll have the opportunity to influence patient care, develop colleagues, lead shifts and contribute to service improvement within one of London's most respected private hospitals.

The Oncology and Haematology Ward at The Wellington Hospital cares for patients with a diverse range of cancer diagnoses, including breast, pancreatic, prostate and specialist neuroendocrine cancers. You'll join a close knit and highly committed team that prides itself on creating a supportive and collaborative environment, where colleagues are encouraged to develop their skills, share knowledge and progress their careers.

What you'll do
  • Lead and coordinate the clinical running of the ward, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care throughout each shift.
  • Deliver expert specialist nursing care to oncology and haematology patients receiving complex treatments.
  • Support, coach and develop nurses and healthcare assistants, creating a positive learning environment.
  • Act as a clinical role model and provide specialist advice to patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continued development of the service.
What we're looking for
  • NMC Registered Nurse.
  • Significant post registration experience within oncology, haematology or cancer nursing
  • SACT (chemotherapy) competent and experienced in delivering cancer treatments.
  • Previous nurse in charge or shift leadership experience.
Why join The Wellington Hospital?
The Wellington Hospital is one of the UK's largest independent hospitals and sits at the heart of HCA UK's internationally recognised healthcare network. For cancer nurses, it offers the opportunity to work alongside leading consultants, specialist multidisciplinary teams and experienced nursing colleagues caring for patients with complex and varied oncology and haematology needs.

You'll be supported by an experienced leadership team, work within a well-established ward structure and have access to career pathways across HCA UK's wider Cancer Services network. Whether you're already a Sister/Charge Nurse, or you're an experienced Senior Staff Nurse ready to step into leadership, you'll find opportunities to grow your clinical expertise, strengthen your leadership skills and shape the future of patient care.
