We are recruiting Class 1 Shunter Drivers (C+E Licence) for a leading XPO Logistics contract within the building supply sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for long-term, stable work with the potential to go temp-to-perm after 13 weeks .
Job Overview
- Job Title: Class 1 Shunter Driver
- Location: East Leake, Barrow, Gotham (UK driving jobs)
- Pay Rate: £15.88 per hour + holiday accrual
- Contract: Temp to Perm (after 13 weeks)
Shift Patterns
- Monday to Friday PM shift: 14:00 - 22:30
- Rotating AM / PM shift available
Class 1 Shunter Driver Duties
- Safely shunting trailers around a busy distribution yard
- Coordinating with transport, warehouse, and security teams
- Ensuring efficient vehicle movement on-site
- Following strict health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
- Shunter or yard experience preferred (full training provided)
- Strong understanding of HGV safety standards
- Reliable and professional approach
