Parks and Grounds Maintenance Operative

£25.61k - £26.85k per annum

Salary: £25,614 - £26,847 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent 

Hours/Working Pattern: Full time - Annualised, working 42 hours during the summer (6 months) and 32 hours during the winter (6 months) over a 4-day week.

Weekend Working: When required

We have an exciting opportunity to join our vital service on a permanent basis, working as a Parks and Grounds Maintenance Operative ensuring all areas of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are kept clean and welcoming for its residents, businesses, and visitors to appreciate. The role  

As our Parks and Grounds Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for maintaining our high-quality open spaces including parks, forest, play areas and recreational spaces across Scarborough and Whitby, this will be by undertaking general grounds maintenance including grass cutting and cleansing duties.

You will be based at the local Depot and/or other satellite sites across the area. We will also supply you with all PPE and training as required.

This is a permanent role, working full time with annualised hours, working 42 hours during summer (6 months) and 32 hours during winter (6 months), over a 4-day week.

You will be working with skilful established teams who are proud to deliver a high standard service across the area.

What you will bring  

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience working in an outdoor environment, but this is not essential as full training will be provided. A Driving licence is preferred but not essential.
