£31.05k - £37.8k per annumEmployment Specialist - IPS NRN – The Wellbeing Hub, Nottingham, NG1 6BB, Permanent, 37HRS , A4C BAND 5, £31,049 - £37,796 FTE
Nottingham Recovery Network is a single point of access for support, advice and treatment for anybody in Nottingham City who wishes to change their relationship with alcohol or drugs.
In partnership with Framework Housing Association and Double Impact, we are seeking a passionate and motivated IPS Employment Specialist to join our Employment and Skills team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support people in structured treatment for drug and/or alcohol use to achieve their employment goals and move into sustainable paid work as part of their recovery journey.
As an Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Employment Specialist, you will manage a caseload of individuals who are motivated to find employment and will provide tailored, person-centred support to help them identify their strengths, aspirations and career goals. You will work closely with individuals to develop vocational profiles and action plans, while providing practical support with job searching, CV development, applications, interview preparation and in-work support.
You will be embedded within multidisciplinary treatment teams, working collaboratively with key workers to promote employment as a positive and meaningful tool for recovery. A key part of the role will involve developing and maintaining strong relationships with local employers, identifying job opportunities and advocating for individuals to access suitable employment that matches their preferences, skills and abilities.
We are looking for someone with experience in supporting people into employment, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a genuine belief that people affected by substance use can successfully secure and sustain paid work with the right support. You will be highly organised, resilient and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based employment support.
If you are passionate about making a positive difference to people's lives and believe in the power of employment to support recovery, wellbeing and independence, we would love to hear from you.
This role is based at the Wellbeing Hub and will involve working across Nottingham City, building relationships with employers, treatment services, and partner organisations, as well as providing support to individuals in both the community and treatment settings.
