Account Executive
£45k - £85k per annumOur client is a highly respected, growing insurance broker with a strong reputation across the UK commercial insurance market. As part of its continued expansion plans, the business is establishing a new presence in Sheffield and is seeking an ambitious Account Executive to play a key role in its growth journey.
This is a rare opportunity to join at the beginning of an exciting new venture, helping to build a successful regional office while benefiting from the support, infrastructure and resources of an established national business. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial clients, identifying new business opportunities and delivering tailored insurance solutions across a broad range of sectors.You will work closely with specialist broking and support teams to ensure exceptional client outcomes while contributing to the growth and development of the Sheffield office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals and market engagement.
- Manage the full client lifecycle from prospecting through to renewal and retention.
- Identify client risks and provide tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
- Retain and grow an existing portfolio while building new revenue streams.
- Collaborate with internal broking, claims and specialist teams to deliver excellent service.
- Represent the business within the local commercial and professional community.
- Support the strategic growth of the Sheffield office and wider regional presence.
- Contribute to future team development and mentoring opportunities as the business expands.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within commercial insurance broking.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrable success in winning and retaining commercial clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Good technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
- Self-motivated, driven and commercially minded.
- Professional qualifications (Cert CII or above) would be advantageous but are not essential.
