Position

We're looking for a curious, analytical, and driven

Data Scientist to join our growing Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of data sources, uncover valuable insights, and help shape business decisions through data-driven thinking.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and develop predictive models that deliver real-world impact. Whether you're exploring trends, building machine learning solutions, or presenting insights to senior stakeholders, you'll play an important role in helping us harness the power of data.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys continuous learning, embraces new technologies, and is passionate about using data to drive innovation and business performance.

What You'll be Doing

• Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support business decision-making.
• Develop, test, and enhance predictive and statistical models.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of machine learning and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.
• Evaluate model performance and recommend improvements.
• Apply statistical techniques to answer business questions and solve operational challenges.
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to improve data quality, accessibility, and governance.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain robust documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of data science tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, data science trends, and AI developments.

Who you are

• A degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline (desirable).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques.
• Experience working with, implementing, optimising, or integrating Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience using Python for data analysis or model development.
• Knowledge of SQL and working with databases.
• Experience manipulating, analysing, and interpreting datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
• A proactive approach to learning, development, and continuous improvement.

Other Information About The Role

Salary : £32,000 per annum

Hours: 40 per week; Monday - Friday

Location: This role is available from any of our Agena offices: Newton Abbot, Lancing, Slough or Stafford with hybrid flexibilities after probation period.
