Contract Type: Locum (long-term)

Start Date: 15th June 26 - 18th December 26

The role is 10 sessions with a 1:9 on call commitment for General Paediatrics, 1:9 Consultant of the Week system as well as a 1:9 paediatric assessment unit (PAU) / Paediatric ED Week provision. The role is split into 7 direct clinical care sessions (DCC) and 3 supporting professional activity (SPA) sessions.

About the Role

As a locum Consultant in Paediatrics and Neonatology, you'll provide expert care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

Responsibilities

  • The role is 10 sessions with a 1:9 on call commitment for General Paediatrics, 1:9 Consultant of the Week system as well as a 1:9 paediatric assessment unit (PAU) / Paediatric ED Week provision. The role is split into 7 direct clinical care sessions (DCC) and 3 supporting professional activity (SPA) sessions.
  • Supporting junior doctors and clinical staff
  • Contributing to service development and audits

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
  • UK Right to Work
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

  • CCT in Paediatrics and Neonatology (or within 6 months of achieving it)
