The role
Emanuel School is seeking an experienced Physics Technician to support the delivery of outstanding Physics teaching and practical work within our Science Department.
Working as part of a team of Science Technicians, you will play an important role in ensuring Physics lessons run smoothly by preparing equipment and materials, supporting practical activities, maintaining laboratory resources and helping to create a safe and effective learning environment for students.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Preparing and supplying apparatus, materials and consumables for lessons
• Maintaining equipment in good working order
• Ensuring the smooth running of workshops, laboratory activities and open days
• Managing stock and storage areas, and ensuring laboratories are organised and well maintained
This is a term-time-only role working 38 weeks per year, offering an excellent opportunity to enjoy a strong work-life balance within a school environment.
You will have an A Level in Physics (or equivalent) and previous experience of working in a laboratory environment. You will be well-organised and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to your work.
Whether you are an experienced Physics Technician, Science Technician, or have relevant laboratory experience and are looking to support science education at one of London’s leading independent schools, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
