Some of the most important moments in a child's life happen when the rest of the world is asleep.

We are looking for caring, resilient and dedicated Night Care Workers to join our Children's Residential Care Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people who have experienced trauma, adversity and disruption, helping them feel safe, secure and cared for throughout the night.

As a Night Care Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a calm, nurturing and stable environment, supporting children through bedtime routines, responding to their individual needs during the night and helping them prepare positively for the day ahead.

About the role

You will:

• Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people overnight.
• Support bedtime and morning routines.
• Help children feel safe, secure and settled throughout the night.
• Respond appropriately to risks, incidents and emergencies.
• Follow care plans, behaviour support plans and risk assessments.
• Complete accurate records and handovers.
• Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure children's needs are met.
• Work flexibly across our children's homes as required. 

About you

We recognise that many children who come into our care have experienced significant trauma and loss. We are looking for compassionate individuals who can see beyond behaviour, build trusting relationships and help children experience safety, belonging and stability.

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or willingness to achieve this within 18 months of appointment.
• Experience of working with children, young people or families.
• Ability to follow care plans and risk assessments.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work a night rota, including weekends and across multiple settings when required.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
