Director of Estates and Facilities

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Director of Estates and Facilities to join a school based in Yorkshire.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Estates and Facilities to take ownership of a diverse estate portfolio and lead the next stage of our estate’s strategy - ensuring our academies are not only safe and compliant, but modern, efficient and fit for the future.

This is a high-profile leadership role with the scope to deliver meaningful change, drive long-term investment planning, and influence decision-making at the highest level of the Trust.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, you will:

• Lead the Trust-wide estates and facilities strategy, aligned to our long-term educational priorities

·         Oversee a large, complex estate spanning over 64 academies across the North of England, ensuring consistently high standards in compliance, maintenance and operational delivery

• Take ownership of capital planning and delivery, including major projects and investment programmes

• Drive consistency, efficiency and value for money across all academies

• Lead a central team alongside site-based estates staff across the Trust

• Strengthen systems, processes and assurance frameworks across health & safety and compliance

• Act as a key strategic advisor on estates-related risk, opportunity and future development

Package

• Salary: Leadership Range L20–24 (£82,654 – £91,157)

• Contract: Full time, permanent

• Hours: 37 hours per week, all year round
