Support For Learning Teacher
Echine Primary School

Salary: £36,159 -£54,453 (pro rata for part time)
Hours: 19.6 per week, 52 weeks per year

Working pattern: Monday, Thursday & Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Echline Primary School. We are looking for an innovative Support For Learning Teacher to join us on a part-time permanent basis.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about inclusion and ensuring that every learner is supported to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the 5 roles of support for learning and be able to use these effectively to support learners, staff and families across our school community.

Candidates should have a have a strong understanding of the principles of nurture and Getting It Right For Every Child. Alongside this, knowledge and understanding of how we can remove barriers to progress and learning, and a range of interventions which support young people would be essential.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
