Where will you be working?

This role is within M Group Transport and you'd be working in o ur Rail team, who manage a wide range of specialist rail engineering works and projects delivering civils, track, power, electrical solutions and station structures across all rail routes in the UK.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Assist in the design, planning and delivery of civil engineering solutions for rail infrastructure projects
• Support site investigations, surveys and assessments to inform design and construction decisions
• Contribute to the preparation of technical drawings, specifications and reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical and environmental engineers
• Attend site visits to gain hands-on experience and understand construction methodologies
• Assist in monitoring project progress, quality and compliance with health and safety standards
• Support the identification and resolution of engineering challenges during project delivery
• Learn how to manage subcontractors and suppliers, and contribute to procurement activities
• Participate in risk assessments, method statements and environmental planning

You’ll be:

• Learning how civil engineering principles are applied in real-world infrastructure projects
• Developing technical knowledge in areas such as drainage, earthworks, reinforced concrete and pipeline installation
• Building confidence in project coordination, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving
• Supported by experienced engineers and mentors to help you grow into a future technical leader

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Project Management (or are due to graduate this year)
• Great communication skills and a willingness to learn
• A collaborative approach and a drive to make a difference
• A full UK/Eu driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
