Full time/Part time: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm)
Pay: £120-£140 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive school in Blackley is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis from September. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a confident HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential while working collaboratively with teaching staff across the school.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across a range of year groups, delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, leading targeted interventions, and providing additional support for pupils with a range of learning needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

• Deliver planned lessons across the school in the absence of the class teacher.

• Support teachers in planning, preparing and delivering high-quality learning activities.

• Lead small group interventions and provide targeted support to individual pupils.

• Support pupils with a range of SEND, adapting learning to meet individual needs.

• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement and independence.

• Assist with assessment activities and classroom organisation.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents and the wider school team.

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience.

• Have previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.

• Be confident delivering lessons across a range of year groups.

• Have experience supporting pupils with SEND and adapting learning accordingly.

• Be organised, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Have the right to work in the UK and be available to work full time.

Desirable

• Experience delivering intervention programmes.

• Experience working across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.

• Team Teach or other positive behaviour management training.

• First Aid qualification.

• Free access to CPD and safeguarding training.

• Dedicated consultant and ongoing support throughout your placement.
