What you will do

* Provide comprehensive dispensary services, including dispensing, checking, and distribution of medications.
* Undertake Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) duties in accordance with local and national standards.
* Support efficient ward top-up services, ensuring medicines are available when required.
* Contribute to the day-to-day operation of the acute hospital pharmacy dispensary.
* Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional pharmacy standards.
* Assist in stock management, ordering, and medicines optimisation processes.
* Support pharmacy colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient care.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with departmental procedures.
* Provide advice and support regarding medication supply and pharmacy processes where appropriate.
* Participate in service improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.

Requirements

* Pharmacy Technician Qualification: Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant professional registration.
* ACT Accreditation: Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualification is essential.
* Relevant Experience: Minimum of two years' experience within a pharmacy setting, ideally within NHS services.
* Hospital Pharmacy Experience: Experience working within an acute hospital dispensary environment.
* Professional Registration: Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and organisational skills.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
* Driving Licence: Desirable due to service delivery across multiple sites.
