Private Client Solicitor – Tax Focus

A well-established and highly respected law firm in Wiltshire are looking to hire a junior Private Client Solicitor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop a specialist tax-focused skillset, working closely with and being mentored by a tax specialist,
About the Role
You will develop your personal tax and wealth planning knowledge and gaining exposure to matters including:
- Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax and Stamp Duty Land Tax
- Estate and succession planning for individuals, families, trustees, business owners and farmers
- Advising on the tax implications of key lifetime events, including business sales, retirement and relocation
- Structuring investments and family wealth in a tax-efficient way
- Advising on family investment companies and property investment/rental businesses
- Understanding the interaction between personal, business and property interests
About You
- Ideally 1–3 years’ PQE in Private Client
- A genuine interest in developing a specialism in Tax
- Strong academic and technical ability with an appetite to learn
- Good client care and communication skills
- STEP, ATT or CTA qualifications would be welcomed, or an interest in pursuing them with support
You don’t need to be a tax specialist already – the key is having the interest, aptitude and ambition to become one.
