Location: Sheffield | Pay: £844–£1,162 per week PAYE | Contract: Full-time and part-time supply and long-term opportunities

Connex Education is working with a wide range of supportive primary schools to recruit enthusiastic Primary Teachers in Sheffield. This role offers flexible day-to-day supply and long-term opportunities across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with work matched to your availability, experience and career goals.

About the Role / Setting

As a Primary Teacher, you will create engaging, inclusive learning experiences that support pupils academically and personally. Connex Education works with a diverse network of primary schools known for supportive leadership, nurturing learning environments and high expectations for behaviour and achievement. The local team will take time to understand your strengths, preferred key stages and career aims before matching you with suitable schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive and well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Create a positive, stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor and support pupil progress, attainment and personal development.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents or carers.
• Complete planning, preparation and assessment for long-term placements where required.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification; applicants working towards QTS may also be considered.
• Recent experience teaching as the lead classroom teacher within a UK primary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Good knowledge of the National Curriculum across the primary phase.
• A commitment to supporting pupil achievement, inclusion and wellbeing.
• The Right to Work in the UK.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
