Early Help Interventions Practice Lead

Full-time

We’re looking for an Interventions Practice Lead to join our Best Start for Life Early Help Team across Cheshire West and Chester.

About the Role:

The Senior Practice Lead for Interventions will support and lead a team of intervention workers to co-ordinate, develop and deliver high quality, evidence based individual and group programmes for vulnerable parents/carers and children that achieve measurable outcomes. They will promote the approaches within local communities and Best Start Family Hubs raising awareness of effective, sustainable positive outcomes.

This will involve workers who support parents/carers of vulnerable children to improve parenting skills and family relationships and children and families impacted by domestic abuse to support recovery/behaviour change. 

You’ll be someone who:

  • ensures that all practice is underpinned by the Council’s our way of working ethos, ensuring all interventions offered have a think family approach and are trauma informed services. 
  • has experience of developing complex innovative and informed solutions to the challenges faced by others to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
  • has experience of supervising staff, especially matrix models of working.
  • has experience of working in a multi-agency environment.
  • has experience of developing and delivering evidence-based and evidence informed parenting programmes in group or one to one basis that improve outcomes for children and families.
