This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys problem-solving, supporting end users and ensuring that technology enables teaching and learning to run seamlessly. You'll be a key member of the school's support staff team, helping maintain and improve the school's IT infrastructure while providing first-class technical support to staff and students. What you'll be doing:
- Providing first-line and second-line IT support across the school
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues efficiently
- Installing, configuring and maintaining laptops, desktops, printers and other devices
- Supporting classroom technology, including interactive displays and audiovisual equipment
- Managing user accounts, passwords and Microsoft 365 services
- Assisting with network maintenance, system upgrades and software deployments
- Ensuring all IT equipment is secure, functional and ready for daily use
- Supporting staff and students with technical queries and training where required
- Maintaining accurate IT asset records and documentation
- Working alongside leadership and external providers to deliver effective IT services
- Previous experience in an IT Technician, IT Support or Helpdesk role
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 and basic networking
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach
- The ability to prioritise workload in a busy school environment
- Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
