Religious Studies Teacher – Outstanding Secondary School, Tower Hamlets

This is a 11 to 18 well-established, Outstanding Ofsted Rated School in Tower Hamlets with a strong commitment to academic excellence, respect and inclusion. The school serves a richly diverse community and is known for its calm, respectful learning environment.
The curriculum is broad and balanced, encouraging students to think critically, engage thoughtfully with complex ideas and develop strong moral and ethical understanding. Staff benefit from strong leadership and a culture of collaboration and professional development.
Religious Studies Department:
The RS department is intellectually rigorous and highly valued within the school. Students are supported to explore philosophical, ethical and religious concepts in depth, developing strong analytical and evaluative skills across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Studies or a related discipline
• Experience teaching RS at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge across ethics, philosophy and religion
• Familiarity with GCSE (A Level desirable)
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to inclusive and respectful teaching
