The Role
The Stakeholder Events Co-Ordinator will work closely with the Safety & Airspace Regulations Group (SARG) Senior Leadership team (SLT) the SARG Head of Stakeholder Engagement and GDSAR’s Executive Assistant, responsible for developing, co-ordinating, and maintaining SARG’s engagement with key industry events in support of the overall SARG mission and organisational objectives.
You will engage with industry, the SARG Leadership team (LT) and our international team to ensure that SARG maintains the appropriate visibility, engagement and attendance both in the UK and across international forums.
This role will include some travel throughout the UK to grow and maintain stakeholder relationships and support senior leaders on their engagements, but it is not considered to be extensive. Role will be primarily Aviation House based, with travel Westferry, London as required
Core Accountabilities
Event Planning & Coordination
- Develop and manage a rolling programme of priority industry events aligned to SARG strategic objectives and the wider CAA engagement strategy.
- Coordinate SARG SLT attendance at domestic and international conferences, panels, workshops, and technical forums to ensure appropriate representation and participation.
- Work with SARG SLT members and other SARG SME’s to prepare briefing materials, agendas, presentation content, and key messages ahead of events.
- Lead on logistical planning, including scheduling, registration, travel arrangements, and event-day support.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
- Act as a liaison point between SARG and key industry bodies, event organisers, trade associations, and international partners.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams across SARG, including the International, Strategy, Comms Team and Chairs Office, to ensure events activity is coordinated and consistent.
- Monitor emerging engagement opportunities and proactively advise SLT on events where SARG participation would strengthen regulatory visibility and impact.
Strategic Support & Delivery
- Support the SARG Head of Stakeholder Engagement in delivering a coherent and coordinated stakeholder engagement programme.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of SARG participation in events, identifying ways to increase impact, efficiency, and strategic alignment.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, calendars, stakeholder maps, and forward‑look engagement plans.

About You
You will have the specialist experience in stakeholder Engagement, ideally in an airline, airspace, aerospace, space industry or regulatory field.
Essential:
- Strong organisational and project management skills and adapting to varying deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build positive, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Confidence working autonomously and proactively within a fast ‑ paced, multi ‑ disciplinary environment.
- Ability to anticipate requirements, identify risks, and maintain attention to detail.
- Competence with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- A good understanding of the aerospace sector, regulatory frameworks, and relevant policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively and confidently on strategic issues with differing audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and SMEs across different teams and functions and build relationships internally to call on expertise when needed
- Confidently use analytical skills to resolve challenges often against competing priorities.
- Basic excel helpful to maintain database of engagement
- Advanced PPT helpful for presentation creation
- Confidently uses own judgement and initiative.

Additional Information
For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.

Relocation & Property
The CAA will be relocating from Aviation House (Our Gatwick Office) to new premises in a few years’ time. Our move is driven by strategic, operational and environmental considerations.
We will be moving to a new local home, up to a 15-mile radius of Aviation House, to minimise disruption for our valued colleagues and customers.
We are now working with colleagues and visitors to understand what we need in our new office, before we start our property search. We will sell Aviation House and land, vacate the site and move to new premises, but we do not expect to move before 2028
