Administrative Assistant

£11.53k - £11.71k per annum
Part-time, Full-time

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Woodlands Primary Academy, Bradwell, Norfolk

Salary: Scale C, points 3-4 £24,796 - £25,185 (actual £11,528 - £11,709)

Start Date: 5th October 2026

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: 19.5 (up to 20.5) hours, 40 weeks. Tues, Wed, Fri 08:30 - 15:30  (30 minute unpaid lunch) with potential to work until 16:00 on two days per week.

About You:

Woodlands Primary Academy are seeking an organised, approachable, and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team. You’ll be the first point of contact for families and visitors, so a warm, professional manner is essential. You show initiative, are solution-focused, and bring fresh ideas to improve processes and procedures. A good understanding of safeguarding is vital, as is your ability to handle sensitive situations with care and discretion. If you're confident using office systems, thrive in a busy environment, and enjoy being at the heart of a supportive school community.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • GCSE English and Maths, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent

  • Experience in working with children and young people

  • Understanding of the significance of highly effective school administration

  • Effective use of IT and highly effective organisational skills

  • Experience in dealing with and managing first aid incidents
